In reply to Michelle. Pretty sure you’ll need the dates for this to work. That was one of the limitations back when I did this post, and not sure if that’s changed. Take a look at what I suggested for the Permalink structure, and be sure you are using that.

Hi Craig…It seems I’ve messed up. I changed the permalink format on my new blog to get rid of the dates & I still have NOT redirected wordpress.com to new site. Do I need to first do an internal redirect for new site permalink with dates to the updated SEO permalink on new site, and THEN do the external redirect from old blog to new blog?

Thanks for your post Craig. I have a doubt. In Site redirect documentation is said that it only works from http to http, but not to https. I want to redirect all my posts from a https wordpress.com (without domain) to a https wordpress.org (with domain). How I should do it if I can’t use Site Redirect Upgrade??
